Skillcert is designed to improve the current recruitment processes of refugees in Uganda by helping applicants document their skills, their past employment/promotions, and the positions available which will greatly improve the experience of applicants. A key process that will be critical to the Skillcert platform is the Job View module where applicants can see jobs that match their skill sets. The system will allow for the collection of real-time data on key education indicators, specifically, how many personnel are applying for positions, how many have verified skills training, and how many training opportunities are being offered and utilized by service providers. Participation in career Circles and peer support networks can also be indicated by the refugees to help further motivate them on their professional journeys.
